Yogi earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy (2020), Pharmacist professional degree (2021), and Master of Science in Biology (2023) from Udayana University in Bali, Indonesia. During his Master’s studies, his research focused on the exploration of endophytic fungi as sources for novel bioactive natural products. Following his graduation, he contributed to his alma mater as a member of the teaching faculty for two years.

In 2025, Yogi joined Prof. Luzhetskyy’s research group, where his current work centers on metabolic engineering aimed at producing high titers of non-canonical amino acids.

Outside of the laboratory, Yogi enjoys hiking and trail running.
