Nikolas completed his Bachelor degree in Biology at Ulm University. After graduating, he pursued his Master degree in Biotechnology at Saarland University.

 

For his Master thesis and PhD, he joined the AMEG group 2017. His research work mainly focuses on genetic engineering of secondary metabolite gene clusters, heterologous expression, and examination of biosynthesis i.e. molecular biology.

 

In his free time he likes to do sports, climbing, and hiking.
